Wonder Cabinets of Europe
Traditional barnlights look like a light bulb stuck to a dish and there is something unpretentious and almost naive about it – which we liked a lot.
We reconsidered the barnlight for contemporary contexts.
Our lamp consists of a hand turned solid wood reflector fitted onto a standard Bakelite lamp holder. By assembling standard components and a handmade reflector, we created an interesting contrast of materials, and a sustainable design for mass production.
