MODE SUISSE
2014

Swiss Embassy in the UK

We were approached by David Kilian Beck, cultural project manager at the Swiss Embassy, to design an eye-catching yet functional exhibition space for the Swiss fashion platform MODE SUISSE, during the London Fashion Week 2014.
The exhibition consisted of display units and a lighting installation to showcase the work of twelve up-and-coming Swiss fashion designers. Taking place in a former office building, the space was emptied, stripped from carpet and furnishing. It felt very sterile and echoey. We decided to keep the industrial look of the space and covered the walls with convoluted acoustic foam. We suspended a grit of lights and garments alternating pink and white lights with the designers’ showpieces. The rest of the collections were displayed on individual clothes rails zigzagging along the wall to create individual areas for each designer.

Designed in collaboration with Loris Jaccard.
