Commissioned by Field.io
Marcus Wendt from Field.io asked me to design and produce a series of acoustic panels for their London headquarters. The panels needed to improve acoustics and provide a level of visual privacy between work areas.
We developed hanging panels made from fluted acoustic felt on both sides. Each panel includes two USB ports and power sockets. The bottom channel has a full-radius profile, which provides a comfortable grip and allows the panel to be held steady when using the sockets.
The panels are held in place by top and bottom channels and timber uprights. The side components compress the acoustic panels without the need for adhesive, allowing for simple disassembly, repair, and recycling at the end of use.
